The City of Hesperia Public Works Tour provides students with a two-day learning experience designed to connect classroom knowledge with real-world applications. On Day 1, students will participate in a field trip to observe city jobs, explore equipment, and learn directly from public works departments. On Day 2, students will attend an HR Skills Day focused on identifying personal strengths using the STAR method, along with resume and interview preparation tips tailored to their own experiences. This unique event combines hands-on exploration with career readiness training, giving students a well-rounded introduction to opportunities in public service. Required attire includes closed-toe shoes and long pants, and students should bring their field trip resource packet for activities before, during, and after the tour.
